An Adaptation

Genesis in Reverse

In the beginning was the earth.
It was beautiful.
And man lived upon the earth. And man said:
“Let us build skyscrapers and expressways.”
And man covered he earth with steel and concrete.
And man said: “It is good.”

On the second day.
Man looked upon the clear blue waters of the earth.
And the man said: “Let us dump sewage and wastes into the waters.” And man did.
The waters became dark and murky.
And man said: “ It is good”.

On the third day.
Man gazed on the forests on the earth.
They were tall and green. And man said:
“Let us cut the trees and build things for ourselves.”
And man did. And the forests grew thin. And man said: “ It is good.”

On the fourth day.
Man saw the animals leaping in the fields.
And playing in the sun. And man said: “Let us trap the animals for money and shoot them for sport.”
And the man did. And the animals became scarce.
And the man said: “It is good.”

On the fifth day.
Man felt the cold breeze in his nostrils.
And man said: “ Let us burn our refuse and let the wind blows away the smoke and debris.”
And the man did.
And the air became dense with smoke and carbon.
And man said: “ It is good. “

On the sixth day.
Man saw the many kinds of people on the Earth. Different in race, color, and creed.
And man feared and said: “ Let us make bombs and missiles in case misunderstanding arise.”
And man did. And missiles sites and bomb dumps checkered the landscape. And man said: “It is good.”

On the seventh day.
And the earth was quiet and deathly still.
For man was no more
And it was good!

1.2.3
Let us imagine that the Earth is a spaceship.
We will travel continuously within our lifetime.
We have everything we need in order to live but we cannot take in any new supplies.
We have to use our resources carefully and wisely.
We must recycle everything we need in order to live: water, air, and essential nutrients.

PrrrrRrrrt... Subukan kaya nilang pulutin at ayusin. Kung kaya ko nga lang tanggalin lahat- isang ihip papalayo- sabi nga, it might be a better place for you and for me.

Maliwanag, malaya at payapa. Napangiti ako, napapikit at sabay na nakapag- isip.
Salamat at may natitira pang kagandahan.

1st airbus gift cert

Flight going to Manila from Puerto Princesa, 13-08-10: At first i thought we will have a raffle draw so I don't pay much attention to the flight attendant- crazy thought, right?- because I really don't have that golden luck charm with such thing, ever. But after i have it on my hand and read it, haha nice, a gift certificate!

Hello Libis I'm home, 30-08-10: I hardly tried but I failed to use it because NAIA is way-to-far from my cousin's house. Later I knew that this certificate is only valid at the Airphil booth found inside the terminal. Hey, they never tell me that!
