170111- Before Something

In order to take an ALE, an architecture graduate like me needs to complete an equivalent of two years experience of work. After the chill-vacation-rush-errands month/s in metro, I decided to start my first apprenticeship last September. So I went back to Puerto Princesa, Palawan to, well, serve first my frontier^^. After that, more happenings, searching and at last, hi office (P.D. Gabayan Design and Services)! hello world!

Then everything starts normal, not like the drawings I saw on my head. Since day one, there were two people I get along with... Arch. Jo, my senior/colleague/mentor & a long time rumored "bf" of my senior-ganda-friend, ate C. The other one was Engr. Ted Bryan, Ar. Jo's best bud (since HS?) who randomly went to the office, either to use the toilet or ask some concerns, also to check our electrical layout. It doesn't matter if he criticize how we-I do it... basta its FREE and I'm corrected from my mistakes, its fine. Also, an unexpected new senior friend.

I only spent short time with them but I've learned enough. They talked mostly their common topic/s yet they let and made me feel I'm part of it. Those experiences were something BIG. I'm blessed to be surrounded by these two, who never hesitate to share their how-to, don't-do, this-will-make, and try-this-by/that. They were like mentors, hmm no, more like big brothers, of course especially kuya Jo. He re- explains a lot, the details, compared to our chief who just gave us fast instructions. *Well, I recognized it now, its should be and its normal... so for me to get more works ahead of the given time... its best to see, smell and digest everything as fast as he wanted. He teaches that way for a very long time and it really works for some reasons.*

They maybe pro-newbie in the technical world but they knew something others forget and neglect which I found great and interesting^^. They have these comments and observations that are so factual and I like how playfully and differently they became radical in some of our conversations. Surely, these two are among those person who touches my soul. So before something else happens on my birthday tomorrow, It's proper to give them a thank you treat today.

Above all, its been one great thing to have- end my 22nd year with them^^
